The producer of The Simpsons: Hit and Run speculates on the possibility of a remaster.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run was a hugely popular game based on the hit TV show, and over the years I’ve personally seen plenty of people gagging for a new introduction to the title, or at the very least, a remake. As it stands, that might happen.

The last one was in 2007 and was funnily enough called The Simpsons Game, so it’d be within everyone’s excitement if we did see The Simpsons Hit and Run remastered. The Simpsons Tapped Out made its way to mobile devices back in 2012, and for a time it made Electronic Arts some decent money. The Simpsons: Hit & Run is an action-adventure video game based on the American animated sitcom The Simpsons, developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Vivendi Universal Games. It was released in 2003 for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Microsoft Windows. The producer of The Simpsons: Hit & Run believes that the game could be remastered in the near future. The game, which originally came out in 2003, followed the Simpsons as they drive around.

“I could see it on multiple different types of platforms as a remake or remaster.” Ceraldi told LADBible, “It would have to take the parties who are in charge of the property to want that to happen and someone out there to decide that they were going to go out and do it. But absolutely, it would be fun to explore those characters and that universe again, that work again.”

He also went on to discuss how he knew the game that was developed by Radical Entertainment was special. “When you make something, sometimes you know you’ve made something special. This was one of the ones that we knew we hit the mark. We didn’t know it was going to sell as well as it did – we had high hopes, but it definitely hit its expectations”
